Cade at the Pumpkin Patch!

I was afraid we weren't going to get Cade to a pumpkin patch this year. I had wanted to go last weekend but on Sunday, Cade and I were both sick. Poor Cade threw up about 6 times in 2 hours or so. That was rough on all of us. Today we were out and about and just happened to drive past a Methodist Church with a Pumpkin Patch! So we stopped and got pumpkins and pictures!
We had dinner at this Italian restaurant beforehand. My boys are too cute! :)

Cade was really good. He kept himself occupied looking out the window and playing with mommy's purse.

And before that, Cade and mommy were playing in Cade's room.

He's such a ham! We did come home and take pictures of Cade in his Halloween costume. But, you will have to wait until Halloween to see those! And let me tell you... they are FREAKING adorable!

The shirt says it all!

We went to the Outlets a few weeks ago and Doyle picked out this part of jammies for Cade.

Aimee's Birthday

Yes, my birthday was at the beginning of October and I'm just now getting these pictures posted! "Cade" sent me these flowers to my office. They were too cute with the Daisy vase. They lasted almost two weeks! I couldn't believe it. I actually took the below pictures after I had them for one full week!

And here is Cade playing with the balloons my parents sent me to work for my birthday also. This was the most decorated my office has been for my birthday in awhile!

I don't know why I LOVE this below picture so much. I just thought he was SO cute sitting there playing with the balloons!

We went to Ted's Montana for lunch on Saturday to celebrate. We shared a strawberry shortcake with ice cream for dessert. That was a YUMMY birthday cake!

We ended up doing some shopping at the Town Center that day and then came home and ordered my birthday present online. Doyle got me a nice of set Henckels kitchen knives. I LOVE them! The below pictures had just been take during that week.

Cade's Test Results!

Sorry to have taken SO long to get back on here and publish the results of Cade's testing. They did conclude that Cade does NOT have a Vascular Ring and that we are back to hoping he will grow out of this! That was the best news possible! I don't know if anyone else had researched online for Vascular Ring's besides myself, but if you had, you would have been just as freaked out as I was! That would not have been something good to have. I am grateful he did not end up having that. The doctor said a vein is leaning against Cade's windpipe and that was causing the pulsating that he saw. So WHEW!

He wants to see Cade at the beginning of January if nothing changes before then. And he let me know he'll probably want to do another brochoscopy in 6 months to see if the windpipe has grown any. So for now, it's just back to the breathing treatments. I'll be sure and update if anything changes on that front.

Cade's surgery

Everything went very well with the surgery. The nurses were all amazed at what a good little boy Cade is. He really has a very high pain tolerance level. He definitely didn't get that from me! Anyway, the long and short of it is that during the procedure, the Dr. noticed Cade does have a smaller than normal windpipe. He ordered a cat scan for Cade next. Originally, we thought we would have to reschedule for that, but while we were waiting in Cade's recovery room, they said we could do it right then. So off we went. We should find out the results from that by Wednesday.

Here are some pictures from the procedure.

In the picture above, the little white things on the side of the opening are his vocal cords. Apparentely, the size of this opening should be about the same size as the opening below his vocal cords.
The above picture is the opening that is smaller than normal. The doctor noticed the flesh surrounding the opening was pulsating. He had two conclusions about this. One, is that there might be a vascular ring surrounding the opening, not letting the opening get bigger. The CT scan should show whether this is the case or not. Or, his 2nd conclusion is that given time, the opening will grow larger and his breathing will become normal. So we are in a wait to find out more.

This picture shows the opening to his lungs. The doctor thought this looked normal.

Cade has been a little cranky this evening but not too bad considering all he went through today. I'll update you when I know more.

One Happy Baby!!!

Cade was totally posing for the camera tonight! I couldn't believe it! He was SO cute... every time I would take a picture, he would lean in towards the camera and give me a big smile and laugh. He's sleeping now on my lap but of course I always have the camera and the laptop right here so I thought I would upload them.

And yes, he LOVES the remotes. And so far... he's been saying "mamamamama". He isn't saying it to call me or get my attention though. It's just something he babbles. And of course I can't get him to say it, he just has to want to say it. So hopefully his first word is right around the corner. :)

Cade is getting his first tooth!

I couldn't get a good picture of it. So we are going to have to wait until it starts showing a little more. But I can defenitely feel it with my finger and see just a sliver of it. Which means today he is a handful and isn't in the best mood. It's taking me forever to type just this part of the blog! So I'm going to keep it quick. We've still got to get to the grocery store today too. Here are a couple of pictures from today. I still need to get some updated that we've had in the camera from the past week. I'll have to get those updated on here another time.
Enjoy!
