baby girl Dylan Mackenzie Cooper has arrived!!

Here we are the morning before leaving for the hospital. Poor Cade had no idea!

Doyle thought the baby bump made a great seat for Cade! Ha!
And here she is! Dylan Mackenzie Cooper was born Wednesday, Feb. 18th at 12:37pm weighing 7 pounds 14 ounces and was 19 3/4 inches long!
The happy family! And because this was a repeat c-section, I got the pleasure of lying on the table for an extra hour at least. I thought they would never finish!
Look at all her hair!
She's getting her first bath below. I just think this picture is too cute!
Here is mommy and baby after getting back to our room. I was definitely out of it. They had given me a form of "clean" morphine. I was feeling no pain.

And now a family of FOUR! Cade came to visit the day after the delivery. I didn't want to be all drugged up when he saw us. He did pretty well at the hospital.
Cade snuggling up with momma and pointing out baby Dylan's toes.
Baby Dylan wearing her first dress!
The pink blanket is one that I made for her.
We only stayed in the hospital for 48 hours this time. We were just ready to get home!
Daddy happy as a clam with his two kids!
That's it for now. I've taken more pictures today and I'll try and upload them into the computer tomorrow. Dylan has been sleeping a lot today. She was up at 11pm, 12pm, 1am and 2am. Then we turned up the heat one degree in the house and she slept till 6:30am! So that was good. Also, Cade definitely had his "transition" day yesterday what with a lot of extra crying, etc. Today he seems much more adjusted, thank goodness! And of course we have a ton of more pictures that I'm going to upload to the Kodak Gallery. So if you want to see more, just let me know!

C-Section is scheduled for Feb. 18th @ noon!!!

I went to the hospital this morning to get my pre-surgery blood work done. I was there for about an hour filling out paperwork and answering questions, giving blood, etc. I also got to take home some wonderful anti-bacterial soap for the shower (ugh) and they've branded me with the arm bracelets already. And wouldn't you know it, they told me the bracelets aren't waterproof! So I get to try and wrap them in plastic wrap while taking a shower in the morning. Now I'm no brain scientist by any means, but this really don't make any sense to me! Not sure what the big deal is about sending me home wearing these bracelets. I'm already going to be wearing them for the 3 days I'll be there for the delivery. Well, I guess if it ends up getting wet and the writing runs, then so be it.

I think we are going to go out for one last dinner tonight to fill me up and then it's no food or water after midnight. Not looking forward to that part. It's going to be hard not being able to drink at least water in the morning. I just hope I don't get bumped by an emergency c-section. That did happen with Cade. I was supposed to be an 8am surgery but it ended up being a couple of hours later. We'll see. I'm sure my adrenaline will be enough to keep me going until the surgery does take place.

I'm very excited to see if she will look like Cade or completely different. And I know everyone is very excited to find out what her name will be. I am too! Ha! No really, we are 99% sure of her first name but just haven't yet decided what her middle name will be. We'll come up with something! :)

G-Ma, Doyle's mom, has been gracious enough to stay with us and take care of Cade while Doyle and I are at the hospital. She and Cade have been having a blast playing together. Hopefully the fun will continue while we are gone. This will be the first time Cade has spent a night away from me. I'm sure I'll be going through withdrawal myself!

Okay, I'm going to go ahead and end this for now. Doyle is going to bring the laptop with us tomorrow so that we can take pictures and download them to the computer. Then when he comes back to take a shower at the house, he can email some pictures out. I don't think he knows how to update this blog unfortunately though. So the update here will probably happen after we are home. Sorry! You'll have to get on him about that! :)

Oh yes, I should say the original c-section date was supposed to be Feb. 20th but they bumped it up to hopefully ensure that I do not go into labor ahead of time.

Alright, I'm going to go ahead and end this. We have to be at the hospital at 10am tomorrow. Wish us luck! The next time you read this blog it will be covering a family of four instead of three! :)
