The snow storm & Amish country!

This is the tree in front of Butch & Ila's house. It is so cute! The snow started falling Saturday late afternoon I think. This picture was taken on Sunday after the storm ended. Butch plowed the driveway out twice because it had drifted back before we left.
This is their backyard.
I thought this picture with the sun was really neat.
Here we are on the treck back to my parents house.
This was what the roads looked like in parts. Doyle did a great job of keeping the rental car on the road.
I think his eyes just might stay blue!
And then we hit the Amish on the road. Mom and dad said the Amish gather at one anothers house for church on Sunday's and stay until early evening. We caught quite a few families on the road. The weather is incredibly cold and the roads were bad. I was really surprised to see them out and about.

This is one of my favorite pics! I thought it turned out really well.
The lines are from out the back window. I know, they suck!

This family is using 2 umbrellas to shield themselves from the wind.

I thought this picture was cool too.
We were able to get our annual backseat car picture. Only we've got a hidden Cade instead of Aunt Ila!
I need to learn how to crop the rear view mirror out of this pick too.

Okay, that was it! I still need to upload the pictures from my camera from Christmas Day, but I'm pretty sure those will be next! Happy Holidays!!!

Christmas at the Dossett's house

Friday the 14th we headed to Aunt Ila & Uncle Butch's house.

Cade loves his Aunt Ila

Aunt Ila still had the toys that I played with when me and Aaron would go visit them. So she brought them out and Cade got to play with them!

Cade was all excited about the tub of toys!

Cade and Grandma

Aunt Ila taking pictures of Cade & Grandma too

Yes, this is quite the pose!

Cade meets his Uncle Rex (my dad's brother)

Ho Ho Ho!

The snow had been falling for a couple of hours but we braved the weather and headed to Aunt Lola's house so she could meet Cade.

A 4 generations photo... Cade, his mommy, his Great Great Aunt Lola and his Grandma

Aunt Lola showed us some family heirlooms she received recently.

Almost everyone made it in this picture that was there... Aunt Ila, Doyle, Cade and Grandma, Uncle Rex, Grandpa and Aunt Sharon. Missing were me, Uncle Butch & Uncle Dewey

Cade kept saying... ba ba, so Aunt Sharon kept saying ba ba bear and Cade loved it.

We all had a really great time visiting with the family. As usual, the weekend went way too quick!

Christmas at Grandma Thrash's house!

First of all, I would like to thank "Elmo's Christmas" for being on TV tonight. Without it, I don't believe I would have been able to post quite this many pictures! Ha! I have noticed that Cade really only pays attention to it when there is singing going on or something like that. Otherwise, he's playing with his toys, pulling himself up onto the furniture or just plain trying to get my attention, for a little while anyway. Okay, so back to the post...

We flew into Cincinnati on the 12th. We landed right when we were supposed to, at 7:30pm. But we didn't pull out of the car rental place until 9pm! It was crazy. That airport takes entirely too long to get out of! We didn't get to my parents house until 11pm or so. I don't really remember, I just remember I was tired! We didn't get any pictures that night, but these are from the next day.

The picture above is Cade opening a present from Grandma & Grandpa Thrash. I'll have to take some pictures of what she made him. They are so cute!

Cade was very happy to see his Grandma Thrash!

We were all SO happy to see our dear family friend "Auntie" Velva as well!

Cade took a BIG liking to Auntie Velva... but don't we all?! :)

Auntie Velva brought Cade a little airplane. He loves playing with it too! All I can say, is THANK GOODNESS it has an on/off switch! And as I look down at Cade right now, he's literally playing with it at this exact second! Ha! How appropriate!!

Here is Cade just being cute as ever, playing with momma.

Talk about being dramatic... ha!

Cade absolutely loves his Grandma's cranberry juice.
Yep, he's a big boy!
Cade was being very playful right before putting his jam jams on.

Cade also got to meet his cousin Avery.
Too funny, it looks like they have the same expression on their faces. Avery is so cute!
Grandpa Thrash holding the sleeping Cade. That's one thing Cade didn't do too much of while we were there!

Okay, these are just the first pictures from our trip. I'll have more we took from Aunt Ila & Uncle's Butch's house. Not to mention, Cade has apparently had enough of the TV and is wanting to something to eat I think. Thanks for stopping by and do check back later. I'm hoping to get some more updated tomorrow.

Cade's Christmas Card

After you click play, and the music starts, you should be able to click through 5 pictures of Cade, look for the arrows at the bottom right hand of the screen. I spent about two minutes on this. Just something I found and thought I would try. Enjoy!
