Intercoastal Kids Christmas Program 2008

This is Cade's daycare class. They held the program at a recreation park close to Ponte Vedra. It was after 6:30pm by the time it started. The kids were definitely tired! Cade's class "danced" to a Christmas song.
Here's a close up of Cade. I didn't get many still shots of him as I also held the camcorder to video it.
Cade is on the left.
Below is the 2 year old class.
Here are the rest of the pictures I was able to take before Cade had too much of a fit and we had to leave. He was so tired.
Aren't these little ballerinas too cute!

I will work on getting the video uploaded too.

Our NJ trip at the beginning of December!

We traveled to NJ to visit family at the beginning of December. Here are some pictures from our visit! It was really good to see everyone!
We visited Pop Pop at the nursing home. He was very excited to see us. We had a very good visit with him. We brought some of the paintings Pop Pop had painted to help decorate his room and maybe give him some inspiration to try and pick up the paintbrush again.
Cade did very well with Pop Pop.
Such a cute picture of Pop Pop and Cade.
We took Pop Pop for a walk. It was definitely pretty chilly outside. Pop Pop really seemed to enjoy it though.
Cousin Jeff made this sleigh for Ma. It sits out on her front lawn. Cade wasn't too sure about it.
Here is Ma and Mom Mom.
This bear is bigger than Cade!
Doyle found this hat in the attic. Cade loves hats.
Cade and G-Pa play a game.
Cade with the hat again!
Peek-a-boo!
Cade actually said "cheese" here.
Giddy-up horsey!
Here we are on our way home.

The next few pictures were actually taken before we left to go on our trip.
Cade is getting really good at feeding himself with a spoon.

Another feeding session and yes, what an outfit! Like I said, he loves hats!

Too stinkin' cute!

Like father like son!

Just chillin'
Going to work on the next post of Cade's first Christmas program at daycare!

Our Thanksgiving Weekend

We really didn't get out much this weekend. We did a lot of cuddling on the couch and watching Christmas movies. We'll see how many years I have left of that once Cade gets older and starts voicing his opinion on what he wants to watch. I'm sure more cartoons will be in our future! Here are just a few snapshots from this weekend.

This is Cade wishing he knew how to write a letter to Santa.

He has started running laps from his bedroom to the living room. He waits for me to say "Ready, set, go" and then starts running. It's soo cute!

And I thought he was too cute trying to balance this doll santa hat on his head.

This kid is just too cute!

Cade loves playing peekaboo also.

It was a lot of fun for the two of us to spend this time together. I just wish I had felt better and of course wished Doyle could have been home with us. Right now it's raining cats and dogs and we are supposed to get a pretty bad storm. What a great day for Doyle to try and get home in. It's been beautiful out every day up until now.

Happy Thanksgiving 2008!

We had our family's Thanksgiving dinner last Sunday so that Doyle could be with us. I was pretty under the weather then so I wasn't able to go all out like I normally do. For the first time, I made our turkey in the crockpot! It turned out really well. We also had carrot-sweet potato mash, which was really the only new homemade item this year, stuffing, spinach in a butter sauce, turkey soup (because I was sick), rolls and cranberry relish. And we also had pumpkin pie as well. I tried making cranberry-pumpkin cookies but I forgot to add a few ingredients. What can I say, I didn't have much energy! :)
This was Cade before Thanksgiving dinner actually. Such a poser! He actually slept this way! Daddy took a picture of mommy and Cade both sleeping on the couch just prior to this, but let's just say mommy isn't going to post that one!
Usually I end up hanging the lights but again, I just didn't have a whole lot of energy. Good thing Cade was willing to pitch in and help! :)
I thought this was a cool picture even though it really isn't in focus.
And here Cade is wearing a hat G-Ma gave him last year for Christmas.

Again, not a clear picture but it gives you an idea as to what it looks like in the dark, all lit up.
Someone got all pooped out by the end of the night.

And here he is in his new favorite jam jam's. I actually put him down for a nap yesterday afternoon while he had his regular clothes on but he wanted to cuddle this outfit. How cute.

Just having a good time!

Cade LOVES putting things between his toes.

And here he is giving "baby sissy" a hug and kiss!

We hope you all enjoy your Thanksgiving Day and long weekend!
