Happy 1st Birthday Cade!!!

We had a small birthday party for Cade's 1st Birthday. As it turned out, he was pretty shy during the whole thing... especially when it came time for him to dig into his cake! I think he wondered why everyone was starting at him!

Eventually, he got enough cake and icing on himself that we had to give him a bath!

I didn't realize until we downloaded the pictures, that most of the party was captured by video instead of pictures. Sorry! Unfortunately, we didn't snap any shots while he opened his gifts. I will definitely put some of that on youTube though. He did a great job with gifts that were in bags verse being wrapped. All he really wanted to do with the wrapping paper was eat it. :)

The birthday prince did end up taking a quick cat nap after everyone left.

Then it was on to play with the new toys again!

Cade was afraid of the balloons! So we kept them inside the baby gate. This week he's been poking at them through the gate holes. He's better about them, but still doesn't really want to play with them, especially the bigger ones.
